Basic Setup

Brautomat requires at least one temperature sensor and at least one suitable heating source. Depending on the setup, the currently supported options are the GGM models IDS1, IDS2, and IDS5, as well as relay-driven heaters.

This chapter only covers required baseline setup steps. Optional and technical details are covered in later chapters.

Scope

This baseline setup is shown with a GGM IDS2 example. For relay-based setups, the workflow is equivalent.

The flow assumes one mash kettle. Additional kettles (for example boil kettle or HLT/NACHGUSS) are configured the same way.
